tips to gain weight? caltine bars?

I’ve been trying to gain weight and instead i lose weight! its ridiculous. I’ve tried eating many fatty foods but i need more tips.. any specific foods? caltine bars?

    Try to eat plenty of protein and the healthy, polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats found in peanut butter, almond butter, most nuts, olive oil, and omega-3 fatty fish. These are also good for you, and won’t hurt your body, but might help you gain weight if you eat enough. Also try to eat plenty of dried fruit, which has more calories than fresh fruit, based off of weight; try dates, which are naturally sweet with lots of vitamins and minerals, (Medjool tastes the best) and try dried apricots and the like. Also try to have a lot of eggs, lean chicken, turkey, beef, and lots of fish. Also have a lot of complex carbohydrates from fruits and whole-grains, and try to strength-train to build muscle, which exercise might help you do.

    And talk to a doctor? Maybe it’s medication you might be on or something.

    Oh, and also aim to eat every 3 to 4 hours to steadily supply your body with energy.

    And don’t eat junk food. It might help you gain weight quickly, but it’ll put a lot of stress on your body and it’s still bad for you. Just eat a lot more food more frequently, and try naturally, healthy-fat-filled foods with a lot of protein.

    Increase your calorie intake and choose from the following:
    Whey protein (mix it with just water to get the most protein impact per stomach amount :-) and/or weight gainers. Oatmeal is good and quick. Beef jerky, cheese/dairy, kashi protein bars, sliced lunch meat, eggs, high calorie protein bars, so much too eat…so little time :-) You will find that you are full at first…push past that…you will gradually be able to consume more and more as your stomach gets used to the increased food intake.

    To gain muscle you need to add more upper body lifts to your workouts. Start with pushups, pullups, chinups, and dips. Then you can move into using weights. Do chest, back, triceps, biceps, and shoulders. As you get stronger, ensure you’re also lifting heavier and pushing hard.
    – Wall squats – sit with your back against the wall (or ab ball against the wall) and squat down into a seated position. Hold for 30 sec. then back up.
    – Walking squats – walk across the floor bending deeply so that your knee almost hits the floor. Go slow.
    – Calves – do calf raises on the stairs (one leg at a time) while holding a dumbbell/weight

    If you want to gain weight, try taking weight gainers (get them at any GNC or vitamin shoppe or online) and lift weights hard. Do ~8 reps on each set. Eat lots of food all the time (steak, potatoes, protein bars, nuts, oatmeal, granola, sausage, fruits, juice/milk) even when you’re not hungry. Your stomach will gradually expand and you will be able to intake more calories. Forget running, if you want to do any cardio just do the stair master for a little bit.
